Bailey is 10 Months!

I can't believe that Bailey is 10 Months old already!! She has grown so much over the last few weeks. Some of her newest milestones include taking 4 to 5 steps on her own to get from one object to the next, using the words no, up, and hi in context, waving hello or goodbye sometimes even without prompting, dancing whenever she hears music, and climbing on top of low furniture (I'm not so excited about this last one!).

Warm and Sunny Days

The weather has been unseasonably warm here in North Carolina. Tyler, Bailey and I had to take advantage of the temperatures with some outside time. Unfortunately for me, Tyler ditched us after about 2 minutes to go play at the neighbors house so it was just Bailey and I on our walk. I never thought I would see the day when my son would be so excited to leave me.

Growing Up

I am almost afraid to make this post. If I put it in writing it is almost guaranteed to change but here goes. I think my little princess might finally be outgrowing the don't put me down, don't sit down while holding me, don't walk out of the room without me, and screaming all day phase that she has been going through for well, her ENTIRE life. Anyone that has spent more then a few minutes with my little darling knows what a demanding child she is. I have gotten plenty of angry looks from complete strangers in stores while Bailey screams during our entire shopping trip as if I could stop her from doing so. But, during the last 2 weeks I have noticed less neediness and crying and more independence. Phew! What a relief for this over-stressed family. She has been playing more by herself and with her wonderful big brother. She is even letting us walk out of the room without her and with minimal complaints. My fingers are crossed that my little love bug continues on the upward trend. It sure would be a refreshing change to have a happy baby....

Family Fun At The Mall

There is nothing more fun then a day at the mall! We got Bailey's 9 month pictures taken at JC Penny last week and went back to pick them up today. Bailey had a great time eating french fries and playing at play place!

Tyler decided pizza was the way to go.

I've brought Bailey to play place once before but she was too afraid to get down and explore. Different story today! One of her favorites, the duck.

9 Months Old Already???

Where has the time gone!?! Bailey Ann is 9 months old already! I can honestly say that the last 9 months have been the most difficult 9 months that I have ever gone through, but also the most rewarding. We did a mini photo session today with her new tutu from Grandma.

She wasn't very happy about the whole thing, but then again, when is she ever happy?

Tyler's Masterpiece

Anyone that knows Tyler, knows that he absolutely HATES to color or draw which makes this picture so special! He found his bathtub crayons that his Grandma Deb gave to him years ago and went to work on what he called "Santa."

 I think it looks more like Jeff Dunham's Achmed the Dead Terrorist?  Bailey was enjoying watching big brother at work!

Fun Times!

One of the highlights during our fun-filled weekend with Grandma and Papa was skipping rocks at the boat launch. Tyler had an absolute blast trying to beat Papa!It skipped 2 times Mom!!A little bonding time with Grandma on the swing afterwards.She looks so old in this picture!Grandma has her hands full with 2 grand babies now! And Maya was just a little jealous of the attention these two receive and had to join in on the cuddle time.
